ECE 445 : Keyless Smart Lock (Secured Illini)
Bike lock with real-time tampering detection, keyless features, and sound alarm.
Project Overview
Designed and built a physical bike security device using ESP32 firmware, a custom PCB, accelerometer-based motion detection, Bluetooth controls, Wi-Fi triangulation, and real-time cloud alerts.
Built a web dashboard for live monitoring, location tracking, and theft alerts; an earlier prototype used OpenCV person detection, Google Location API movement tracking, and Firebase-backed notifications.
Key Features
- Real-time cloud alerts and WiFi notifications when tampering is detected
- Bluetooth-enabled locking and unlocking
- Custom PCB design with 1-week battery life
- Real-time motion detection using accelerometer
- Wi-Fi triangulation for location tracking
